Mayor Michelle Lincoln serves as the Mayor and District 2 Commissioner of Monroe County, Florida. First elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2018, she holds the mayoral gavel. Known for her relentless community advocacy, she is a full-time resident of the Florida Keys and previously served as the president of the Florida Association of Counties.
Biography & Professional Experience
Background: Lincoln has lived in the Florida Keys since 1999. Before her time on the county commission, she worked for the state of Florida as a child advocate coordinator for the Guardian ad Litem program, championing abused children.
Education: She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University and is an alumna of Leadership Monroe County.
Awards: She was recognized with the Kay Gradick Woman of the Year Award in 2018.
